The Sofico Gent Marathon supports Sportaround and Kom op tegen Kanker. When you register, choose how you want to contribute: make a donation, raise funds or turn your participation into a force for social impact.

Sportaround

Founded in Ghent in 2013, Sportaround makes sport and physical activity accessible to children and young people. The organisation provides after-school sports, neighbourhood sports camps, activities in public squares and many other accessible initiatives. This gives more children the opportunity to discover their talents, build confidence and enjoy being active together.

Support Sportaround with a donation when you register. On 21 March 2027, they will once again be cheering you on from several locations along the course.

Kom op tegen Kanker

Cancer affects us all. Together with Kom op tegen Kanker, make a difference in the fight against cancer. Run the Sofico Gent Marathon for fewer cancers, more cures and the best possible care. Because only together can we become stronger than cancer.

Move against cancer

Register through Kom op tegen Kanker and we will create a personal page for you on our website to make collecting donations easy. Share your page with family, friends and acquaintances, and raise the minimum amount of €500 or €750 (depending on your distance) before 7 February. Once you reach your target, you will receive your free race entry and a unique Kom op tegen Kanker T-shirt.
